The most interesting thing about being a developer is something I had as a kid. Creating something from scratch. Just like making music from scratch I like to create something useful or entertaining out of basically nothing. Using your mind, creativity and a skill you can learn to build something that powerful triggers me.
Building something from scratch and build it to a more complex system makes you look at things differently. I am absorbed in the complexity of applications and how something that complex makes life so much easier for people.
I am experienced in developing the back-end part of an application. As a fresh back-end developer who works for Brendan & Mackenzie in Eindhoven, I am improving this skill even further. I am also doing some work as a full-stack developer, but I am more experienced in back-end development.

I am also doing some work as a front-end developer, but I'm more experienced in back-end development. My main focus right now in software development is back-end. In the future I want to focus more on app development (Android and iOS). After that my focus will be front-end development.
During my work as a developer I am not only interested in the software development part within the projects, but the business and project management part too.
"Why are we building these functionalities for our clients and how are we going to realize the functionality within our product in a way it improves the business, her process and our development process?"
This is one of the questions I have everytime I work on a functionality. I think finding a balance of thinking business and thinking technical is important to be a successful developer from today.
I have followed a minor study about testing in Software Engineering and why testing is improving quality in not only the software, but also the development process. During this minor I had to follow an internship. I did this internship at my employer Brendan & Mackenzie. Here I did research on our development process and how we can make testing more of a priority in our process. I am currently still working on my research results and how to implement this in our development process.
